Process and limitations

How the semi-automatic cycle should be assessed.

Cap placement

The operator should place the cap squarely and start the thread without forcing it. A tilted or cross-threaded start cannot be corrected by tightening torque alone.

Bottle clamping

Set the clamp to prevent rotation without marking or distorting the filled production bottle. Flexible packs should be tested at normal working weight.

Chuck contact

The chuck or insert must grip the cap without polishing ribs, damaging decoration, lifting the bottle or contacting the neck finish.

Evidence required before final configuration.

  • Filled production bottles at the shortest and tallest intended formats
  • Closures from normal supply batches, including liner or tamper-feature variants
  • Accepted finished packs and the agreed torque, height, leak or opening checks
  • Required batch output, operator cycle and available bench space
  • Power, air and any connection to a conveyor, filler or labeller
