Trial sequence

Test the closure as received, applied and used.

  1. Record the closure state on delivery.
    Confirm whether the lid is normally open or closed, whether several orientations are mixed and whether caps nest or interlock in bulk.
  2. Identify the safe contact zone.
    Use the closure drawing and samples to identify where tooling can grip without loading the hinge, dispensing insert or decorative surface.
  3. Check cap placement and thread start.
    The closure must reach the bottle squarely. A tall or hinged top can amplify tilt before the thread engages.
  4. Run the bottle at production weight.
    Check bottle rotation, panel deflection, guide contact and capper clearance using the actual or representative fill condition.
  5. Inspect the finished closure.
    Check cap height, hinge condition, lid operation, dispensing feature, decoration, seal and the agreed opening or torque method.
  6. Prove replenishment and restart behaviour.
    Where automatic feeding is proposed, include bulk loading, low-level running, jams, chute-full conditions and recovery after a stop.
